Hygienic emptying of IBCs via the outlet opening
Dry-installed hygiene pump for containers
Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) and other storage options like bag-in-box containers or tanks typically feature an outlet at the bottom for draining contents, either by free flow or with the aid of a pump. FLUX-GERÄTE GmbH has introduced the MINIFLUX Sanitary container pump, a compact, hygienic design crafted from stainless steel (V4A). The pump connects effortlessly to the container outlet using a 2" clamp or an S60x6 adapter (Image 1).
Designed for efficiency, the dry-mounted pump minimizes fluid contact, ensuring low dead space, and can be disassembled for cleaning in just 20 seconds without the need for tools (Image 2). Its grease-free seals eliminate the risk of contamination, making it highly suitable for sanitary applications.
With a pumping capacity of up to 240 l/min., depending on the medium and motor used, the pump handles viscosities up to 1,000 mPas and operates effectively even against closed valves or taps. Weighing only 1.8 kg and measuring 199.5 mm in length, the pump is capable of transferring fluids at temperatures up to 100 °C. Built for continuous use and limited dry running, it complies with FDA standards, making it an ideal choice for hygienic processes.
Free motor selection
The bearing flange features a union nut that allows for easy attachment of a motor suited to the specific medium and environment. Options include commutator motors, brushless motors, or compressed air-driven versions. Sealing and fluid handling of more aggressive substances are ensured by FKM or EPDM seals and an ETFE rotor.
The pump's 1 1/2-inch clamp pressure connector is compatible with standard pipe and hose lines, providing versatile integration. Depending on the container's angle of inclination, IBCs can be emptied with a residual volume as low as 1%. Pumping pressure, which varies based on the motor type, can reach up to 13 meters of water column.
