At Winston Engineering, we believe in working hard and playing even harder! Just two months ago, our company trip to Thailand was nothing short of spectacular! From bustling cities to serene landscapes, our two groups of staffs spent 5 days and 4 nights soaking up everything Thailand had to offer. Here's a recap of our fun-filled adventure!
Day 1: Touchdown in Bangkok and Off to Kanchanaburi!
We landed at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport with excitement buzzing in the air, ready to dive into our Thailand adventure. Without wasting any time, we headed straight to our first destination —Kanchanaburi, a picturesque town known for its rich history and natural beauty, offering a perfect escape from the city.

Our day kicked off with a stop at Sophia Café, a charming Muslim restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal to fuel up for what was to come.
Next, we explored the Kanchanaburi Safari Park, where we had the thrill of feeding giraffes and getting up close with a variety of exotic animals. The experience was a fun and wild start to our journey, setting the tone for the days ahead!

We explored the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, where history came alive, and then enjoyed some downtime, surrounded by the scenic riverside views.
The evening was spent bonding over delicious local Thai cuisine and, of course, some friendly team banter! We ended the day resting at the Felix River Kwai Resort.

Day 2: Back to Bangkok – Temples, Markets, and City Vibes
On day two, we started with a trip to the historic Death Railway, also known as the Siam-Burma Railway. While waiting for the train, we enjoyed breakfast and took some great photos. We boarded the train at Thakilen Station for a scenic 15-20-minutes ride to Thamkra Sae Station.
After a brief stroll and some shopping along the street, we continued our journey to Malika City. At Malika City, we dressed in traditional Siamese attire and used ancient city currency for our purchases.

We immersed ourselves in the traditional Siamese lifestyle, learning how rice and sugar were made from sugar cane using age-old methods.
We also enjoyed a lunch featuring authentic Thai dishes, adding to the cultural experience.
Next, we visited Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Temple), climbing its 157 steps to reach the top.
Afterward, we headed to Chocolate Ville, a lively spot with a Halloween theme where many visitors were dressed in festive Halloween costume. We enjoyed our dinner there, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
After a full day of exploring, we finally checked in at the Centara Watergate Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok.
Day 3: Team building - More of Bangkok’s Best
On the third day, we kicked off with exciting team-building activities alongside our Winston Engineering colleagues and family members, enjoying a series of fun-filled games. Afterward, we had a relaxing, free-and-easy day to explore as we pleased at Bangkok!
Day 4: Off to Pattaya – Sun, Sea, and Sand
Day four was an exciting continuation of our adventure as we journeyed to Pattaya! Along the way, we explored the beautiful Flower Land, admired the impressive Khao Chi Chan Laser Buddha, and visited the serene Wat Phra Yai.
We then enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch by the seaside, savouring fresh flavours with a stunning view.

The highlight of the day was a yacht trip to Monkey Island, where we got up close with the playful monkeys in their natural habitat. As the day came to an end, we watched a breath-taking sunset from the yacht, capping it off with a memorable dinner surrounded by the beauty of the open sea.
In the evening, we headed to Terminal 21 for some shopping, exploring its diverse stores and unique themes. Afterward, we checked in at the Sunbeam Hotel, ready to relax after another exciting day.
Day 5: Back to Bangkok – Icon Siam Finale – Back to Singapore
On our final day, we began with a visit to a local bee farm, where we observed the fascinating process of honey production and learned about the intricate work of bees. It was a unique and educational experience that left us with a newfound appreciation for natural honey.
Afterward, we made our way back to Bangkok for one last stop at the iconic Icon Siam. This massive shopping complex was the perfect finale to our trip. With options to shop for luxury goods, admire the mall's stunning architecture, or enjoy one last taste of authentic Thai cuisine, Icon Siam truly had something for everyone.
